Becoming a member of Sherborne Old Girls, the alumnae association of Sherborne Girls

Dear Parent,

We hope very much that when your daughter leaves Sherborne Girls, she will become a member of Sherborne Old Girls. Sherborne Old Girls is not just a community; it’s a vibrant and dynamic network that offers unique, lifelong support. We run a series of university visits where we catch up with Old Girls and find out how they are getting on, what they think of their university and course and keep them up to date with news from the School. We aim to see each Old Girl at least once, if not twice, during their university years – ensuring they always feel connected to the Sherborne family.

We run a wide range of career focused networking events, bringing together older Old Girls, parents, undergraduate and recent graduate OGs. These events are designed to foster connections, provide guidance, and help OGs with career opportunities and work experience across various sectors.
Recent events have included sectors such as IT, AI & All Things Digital, Law, Property, Finance and the Media to name a few. We run Women in Leadership events where Old Girls have the opportunity to hear from inspirational speakers (all Old Girls), and network with those already established in a wide range of professions. I thought you might also like to see a comment from an Old Girl who came to our most recent City and Finance Careers Event:

“The city event organised by Sherborne Old Girls was an enthusing eye-opener to the many opportunities out there for me in finance. I had valuable conversations with people working in the City and it has really helped me to figure out what job might best suit me after Uni.”

We also hold a series of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35,40 and 50 year reunions, which are very well attended and enjoyed by everyone.

The subscription for Life Membership is £375 and is collected by the School starting in your daughters first term, as below.

For girls starting in Lower Fifth onwards:	6 termly payments of £62.50
For girls staring in Lower Sixth:	4 termly payments of £62.50 and one term payment of £125.
